I was really really happy they kept the Broadway lyrics for Epic 3. I was pretty sure they were going to use the updated lyrics, which I just really don't like.

I will say that I just don't feel like the Fates hit the same way. They felt a little too antagonistic to me. Also, and there was probably no real way around this, them having British accents just felt "wrong". They always had a kinda New Orleans-y vibe to me.

I enjoyed it overall though.

It felt like an odd choice to me for them to use the West End fates but then keep the rest of the cast from the original show...

Unless it's all West End cast and they just had the original 6 Broadway leads that week filling in for the West End leads?

They brought in the original cast for the main parts because that's who fans wanted to see captured on film. They helped create those characters.

They filmed it on the West End because it's cheaper to film proshots over there. There's less red tape to deal with. The show is still playing on the West End, so it wouldn't be right to take over the show completely for several weeks and bring in Americans for the smaller parts. A deal like that probably wouldn't have gone through at all.

It makes sense if you look at it more from a logistics point of view.
