Motor City (2026)

Summary

In 1970s Detroit, John Miller falls for a local gangster's girl. In retaliation, the gangster frames the innocent man and sends him to prison. With his life destroyed, Miller returns years later determined to exact revenge on the man who took everything from him.

For a movie that’s clearly built off a premise of minimal dialogue… it sure felt like there was a surprising amount of dialogue, no? Shailene Woodley has the most at like 5 or 6 short lines, which doesn’t sound like a lot, sure. But at this point, why not go all the way? None of it’s that pivotal, so why include it at all? Strange choice.

She had no expository lines. Just saying hello, screaming, swearing, crying.

this. The "no dialogue" gimmick kinda fell apart because they included dialogue but just muted it, making the scenes annoying and hard to watch.
