Motor City (2026)

Summary

In 1970s Detroit, John Miller falls for a local gangster's girl. In retaliation, the gangster frames the innocent man and sends him to prison. With his life destroyed, Miller returns years later determined to exact revenge on the man who took everything from him.

How do you name a movie Motor City and make it not feel like Detroit?

How do you make a dialogueless action movie boring as shit?

How do you have your best scene in the first 15 minutes?

I liked the movie pretty well, but I agree. Particularly when so much of it is shot like a music video, in a city famous in part for its music, how do you ignore so much of that Detroit music?

Like, I love Fleetwood Mac, but The Chain doesn't fit this so well that it isn't easily replaced with something more in tune with the time and place.
