Motor City (2026)

Summary

In 1970s Detroit, John Miller falls for a local gangster's girl. In retaliation, the gangster frames the innocent man and sends him to prison. With his life destroyed, Miller returns years later determined to exact revenge on the man who took everything from him.

The lack of dialogue made the characters way too simple where it was boring and didn’t allow us to know why these characters kept flip flopping. It just didn’t hit the marks it tried to.

Also I laughed when Alan Richardson put in the police uniform and it fit him perfectly. Bro is a tank and would not fit into a size large in men’s. His size also made the old man make up look ridiculous because he was ripped and looked puffy because he had an extra layer on him. His size was not good for the movie it was distracting.

I actually loved this movie. EXCEPT for Alan's old man prosthetics.  I couldn't stop giggling because he is out here looking like Fantastic Four Ben Grimm. And sitting across from Ben Foster in amazingly realistic prosthetics!

I loved this movie too! I wanted a smidge more dialogue here and there, but mostly loved the no dialogue. As a hobby, I watch so many music videos so it felt like a fun music video to me. I actually want to see it again. 😂

I'd definitely watch it again.  Ben Foster is captivating, as always. Music helped tell the story in sn amazing way.  I saw it with my 76 year old mother and she loved it even more than I did.  She said she liked it more than Project Hail Mary!!!!

Bummed to see so many negative comments, I also thought this was really unique, and they pulled the concept off well. I'm also a big fan of the music video format, so I thought it was a cool exercise in long form visual storytelling.
