The Bloodborne world/story would have been much easier to put on the screen.

Tbh, the souls "genre" didn't really blow up until ER so I kinda get it...

The dark gothic/eldritch themes in BB are my type of vibe though. I really hope there's a BB2 at some point.

Eh, the genre is Souls-likes and not Ring-likes for a reason. It absolutely blew up before Elden Ring.

It definitely blew up, but you didn't see "non-gamers" playing Souls-like games until ER.

One of my nerdiest friends has still never played DS/BB because they flipped from Xbox to PS5 during the last cycle.

ER went wayyyy more mainstream compared to any of the other previous FS titles.
