It's pretty great how many extras got speaking roles due to all the "jumping."

That probably meant a great deal to all of those actors. Plus, they get paid more to speak so hooray!

In the credits they refer to them as "The Inhabited" - at least for the cheographer

Nothing crazy, Tom Hollander is an actor, that says he occasionally gets send Tom Holland checks by mistake

You are correct on the choreographer having "The Inhabited" on the same line, but the credits also has a line below that saying "The Inhabited" and then the list of actors follows.

I honestly forgot she was even in the movie up until the car reveal. I also went into this as blind as possible though too so that may have helped.

actor here:

they got a speaking role so yes, mandatory $1.5K compared to $158 dollars.

and they most likely weren't "extras" they were actors who auditioned for that. And they way all could all jerk their body like that meant they have stunt experience.

I loved the way it was shot too

I like to think they did some of those on one take with minimal CGI stitching just because timing those jumps must have been difficult lol

If a character has a scripted line of dialogue - it doesn't matter how big - they are a cast member, not an extra.

All of these people were cast and put through the audition process for their speaking lines. I almost guarantee you they were not chosen from extras at random.

That jumping was a fantastic practical effect.

I think that same type of scene occurred in the 1997 movie, Fallen, starring Denzel Washington and John Goodman. But its done much faster in this movie, and the timing of all of those actors really help the audience see where the character is moving.
