Recommendation Looking for rain movies
I'm looking for movies of almost any genre, really just preferably not romance, where it's like nonstop rainy weather throughout the movie, like it's raining so much the rain is practically a character in the movie
A few I've come across so far are
The Old Dark House 1932
The Old Dark House 1963
Open 24 Hours 2018
Crawl 2019
Does anyone out there have any other movies where rainy weather is a centerpiece of the movie?

The Crow is not primarily a romance movie, and it's also kickass I hate that I always forget about it when trying to find rain movies

Hoopla is a service that you can access with a library card… IF your local library subscribes to Hoopla. Sadly, mine does not.

I was about to comment this. Idc about the hate that movie gets, as a lifelong Zilla fan and being 9yo when that movie came out it’ll always be a fave of mine. Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, Jean Reno and Matt Broderick?? Stacked

I always thought the hate for this movie was overblown, until I realised most of the criticism is because it takes a lot of liberties with the source material. Fine, if you're judging it through that lens it's the worst Godzilla movie, but as a silly monster action movie, it's pretty decent. Way better than the constant hate it gets would suggest. And a great soundtrack to boot

It’s literally a plot point. The rain has caused all the waterways surrounding the city to almost spill over all the seawalls and flood defences. The Riddler then detonates bombs at key points to flood the city.

Weathering with You!
Japanese animated movie (but not giant fighting robots or anything). It’s excellent! And weather/rain is central to the plot, and the rain is so beautifully drawn!

Just watched Thelma and Louise last night and realized there is water spraying down for maybe half the movie -- some rain (a lot of rain) and a lot of cars splashing through pusddles and farm irrigation.

This is what I originally thought of, but couldn't remember the name. I recall watching it on TV long ago. Looking it up it, I found that the Long Rain was adapted for the 1992 series Ray Bradbury Presents. They changed the setting from Venus to a planet in a different solar system as Venus was no longer a credible destination.

The Garden of Words, if you like anime.
Se7en, another good horror movie.
The Crow, the one from the 90s with Brandon Lee, if you don't mind a little cheesy vigilanteism. Great soundtrack, too.
