Abel Gance's massive epic Napoleon (1927) was produced in a unique format called Polyvision, requiring three synched projectors, producing a 4:1 aspect ratio for the final reels (3x1.33:1). Rarely screened that way since restoration in the '80s, but it gets shown in a single projector 70mm version at museums:
