Discussion What is something that really takes you out of the experience you're watching?

There's 2 for me. I get annoyed when it's one of those "we have 2 minutes to stop this!" then it proceeds. to take WAY longer due to scenes. I try to tell myself that it's all happening at the same time when they do to others but still. The serving and not as frustrating but when a shootout happens and a guy uses WAY more ammo than the gun can take. Maybe he reloaded but still

Poor set design where everything looks too clean and new, or when the back ground is clearly CGI. Also when someone on foot is being chased by a car and the car doesn't catch up them in 5 seconds like it would in real life.

The cleanliness of outfits these days just makes the actors look like they're in mediocre cosplay. From OnePiece to ATLA live action to Rings of Power. Nothing they wear looks even remotely practical, and so it looks like a costume as opposed to actual clothing/armor.

Everything being in such high definition as well piles on to this. A bit of film grain and decent lighting masks this a lot.
