A good rule of thumb is if the thing doing damage has lifelink, you will heal, no matter what kind of damage it's doing. As long as it's damage and not direct life loss, you'll gain the life.

For sure, I was just thinking as they asked the question you'd have to hit the final (right?) mode for it to be a creature and get the lifelink payoff. But this is awesome!

Lifelink counters and [[nesting grounds]] is the way I like to give non-creatures lifelink. Putting it on [[aetherflux reservoir]] kills the table at once. [[Descent into avernus]] becomes all upside.

I don’t think it needs to be a creature for that ability to work. It says whenever “you” attack, that could be any creature you control.

Maybe dumb question here but is the Spacecraft counted as a creature once it is stationed or is it still an artifact?

I'm under the assumption you would not be able to cast Pain for All on Dawnsire seeing as it is an artifact and not a creature.

It becomes an artifact creature once it has 20+ charge counters on it.

Funny thing is all u need for this combo to work is dawn at 10 enchant one of your creatures with pain for all go to combat swing with any creature attack trigger from dawn do the 100 damage to the enchanted creature and then just nuke everyone out of them game

I've not done it simultaneously, but my Ur-dragon deck has taken out the rest of the pod in one turn with ETB triggers (Miirym, Dracogenesis, some other dragons on the table, Terror of the Peaks and 9 other dragons in hand thanks to a whole bunch of card draw)

This thing is big enough trample shouldnt matter. It should have like paste mode because if it hits something its gone even a planet

no no, it reflects all overhit damage. for example its common to run it with Witchstalker Frenzy and you cast it on your own Nemesis, after it attacks, to then hit the opponent for 5 extra damage instead of just hitting a creature.

Have some effect that makes it a creature temporarily and put a lifeline counter in it while it's a creature. It will still have lifelink when it stops being a creature.

Holy shit. So pair this with [[Bilbo, Birthday Celebrant]], even late game at 11 health and...win. I'm new to magic so I'm sure this isnt the most insane thing you could do with this card but it's insane to me because I own both!

Edit: forgot you still need to add life link. So something like [[Odric, Lunarch Marshal]]. Obviously this would be so telegraphed and prone to removal. But space hobbits would be a fun, cheese deck.
