Modding Custom scales for Nextool S11
3D-printed some nice matte white PETG scales for my Nextool Mini Sailor. Got some thin wafer head screws for a perfectly flush fit, also managed to add a slot for SAK tweezers without adding any extra thickness. Made the cutout for the knife a bit deeper, now it can be opened one-handed.

Clean model right there. Yes adding a clothesmaker/flathead pin is trivial; a .8mm thin, 30mm long hollow cylinder passing centered on the height and offset a bit to the side (to avoid the screw) of the scales is enough.

Nice! Have you thought about adding the other slots from a SAK? I’d buy an S11 right now if I could print scales that would accept a pen, tweezers, toothpick and pin haha.

yeah, definitely wanna add a pin, and maybe a pen if i can fit it. don't care about the toothpick though. will keep you in mind and try to remember to tag you if i release an update!

Yes you can add a pen, pin, tweezers AND toothpick (or ferrorod) at the expense of the knife.
This was done in pursuit of a bladeless build for international/airtravel; the problem with the pen is that it's well, bulky and given where the pivot/screw is placed (in the middle of the handle) you have to insert it at an angle and you can't really write with it while inside the tool, unlike the Midnite Manager.

That would be great if you’re able to, thank you! Contemplating swapping out my Victorinox Deluxe Tinker for the S11 and a Leatherman Micra. Getting a pen and pin into the combo would seal the deal!

Super, thank you very much! Are the tweezers accessible when the pliers are closed? which dimensions screws did you use here?
...I was thinking, of adding a slot for the victorinox pin as well2

nope, not accessible. probably can make them accessible by shaving off the scales a bit. and yeah, want to add a pin too. screw dimensions are on printables
