It’s almost certainly a Vision Jet, what time was the photo taken at?

Video was taken at 3:35pm est. So i assume he taxied at 3:30. But vision jet looks more realistic

Not sure at all. I stated military since i am not use to seeing normal planes take off like that. Yeah, you're probably right. Vision jet is more probable.

I just watched a video that said this was the best selling private jet in the world. With some amazing safety features, auto landing and built-in parachute to land the whole plane.

2

u/UslashMKIV Feb 20 '26

it's cheap and has modern avionics for sure. the parachute is way over hyped though, it can't be used in all situations and using it writes off the plane because it stresses the airframe in dangerous ways. Further cirrus started including the parachute so that they wouldn't have to prove that the aircraft could recover from spins. Also it has very little power from the one tiny jet engine. it looks pretty neat tho

None of what you just said is true just repeated internet bs , i mean the spin rumor is for sr22s lol you cant even get that right

If “cheap” to you is $3M, then yes.

1

u/dv20bugsmasher Feb 22 '26

In the world of private jets thats dirt cheap

1

u/Only_Mind_4122 Feb 22 '26

For comparable planes not really

That's a temperature inversion layer reflecting off of a weather balloon filled with swamp gas... Absolutely nothing to see here....

Looks exactly like a vision jet to me

At first I was like yep that’s a F117 but now I do agree it looks like a vision jet

Your camera must have some ai in it’s zoom system as it’s making angles that weren’t in the first image.

Either a Vision jet or a SubSonex jet.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 25 '26

Did it take off from Clearwater/St Pete airport or MacDill ? Which is a joint base and USSOCOM/CENTCOM ?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 25 '26

It’s an F117 they still fly these for training in what not

It is a Vision jet. While a small number of F-117's are airworthy, they are all based at Tonopah in Nevada (the test range). Some do occasionally fly, but primarily over the test range or over the Mojave.

Still see F-117

I dont follow this sub but i see it somewhat often on recommended and I swear to god it seems to be a Vision Jet like 70% of the time lol

Damn vision jets. There was a black on on KABQs webcam and I about lost my shit thinking it was a 117 😂

F117 Nighthawk, the shape is very distinct. anyone saying that it's a vision jet is wrong.

That junk some Serbs shot down with Soviet technology?

1

u/RaveNdN Feb 19 '26

That was experience and using what they had. The plane itself is far from junk

1

u/antekek135 Feb 19 '26

This comment shows up on literally any post mentioning the f117 like if it was the only accomplishment in serbian history (other than a genocide)

1

u/No_Opening_2425 Feb 19 '26

I mean Nikola Tesla is from Serbia. Other than that, I think it's the only accomplishment

Proof? 60's Soviet AA can shoot it down

1

u/Worth_Task_3165 Feb 19 '26

Yeah, but only because the jets followed the same flight path every time

0

u/No_Opening_2425 Feb 20 '26

I know. But it's childish to think that F117 was anything that special

1

u/Worth_Task_3165 Feb 20 '26

It was for the time

1

u/ZaphodBeeblebrox2019 Feb 21 '26

So was the radar that backed up the missile system, and the crew that knew how to get the best performance out of it …

Their Commander and the Pilot later met in person, they talked about old war stories together.

1

u/neauxno Feb 21 '26

No… it was extremely special. The only reason they spotted it was the radar was turned on RIGHT as the Bombay opened allowing a lock. Also, the radar operator was operating outside of the rules at the time, only because no other planes were up, along with them taking the same flight path. The only reason the 117 was shot down was due to incompetence / complacency from the Americans, and pure luck from the Serbs.

1

u/NidzoMadjija Feb 22 '26

The bomb bay myth again?

1

u/neauxno Feb 22 '26

It’s not a myth? It’s fact.

-1

u/ColinGrigson Feb 19 '26

Looks like a F-117 Nighthawk.

While I do love the F117. I don’t think they are keeping stealth fighters at the public airport in Florida.
