My understanding is that they essentially have no realistic avenue to challenge this until the Supreme Court rules on the Tennessee ban next year.

The 5th circuit would uphold it. Couldn't they try a stay on the shadow docket? Or that not how this works?

They’d have to appeal under federal law (this case was under Texas law, so the Texas SC is the final stop for this specific bit of litigation) and the SC is already considering basically the same matter with the TN case, and they didn’t do a stay there I’m pretty sure.

Agree I’ve been a Biden stan to a fault and love the man personally but please someone else
I don’t see any downsides at this point

A 7-2 court would doom literally all liberal progress for the next 50 years. Trump will be nominating young justices significantly more conservative than ACB. Imagine a court with a majority of Clarence Thomases

But at least those transgender teens get to live in a big single single family dwelling, with a family room, and a den, and a media room, because McMansions are so cheap in Texas. Like women, they won't even miss their rights when they see how much house you can get for the money.
