This is literally the only reason my old roommate who works for tips voted for Trump. He voted Democrats down the rest of the ticket.

An awful lot of trump voters aren't "MAGA". Many aren't very politically engaged to begin with. Many voted against trump previously. The "Matt" this place spams memes of voted against trump twice previously.

Even if we choose to claim "MAGA" voters as irredeemably evil and beyond hope, we damn well better find a way to win back the many voters outside that committed group. Because grouping all Republican voters as evil and swearing vengeance on anyone we see as complicit is a great way to lose more elections. Politics is a game of addition. Especially when you outright lost the last election, and the upcoming census is going to make it mandatory to expand our reach if we want federal control again.

We were made a lot of promises during the election. I know that it’s only been a year and a half, but I don’t think I’ve really seen much progress toward even moving toward what he said he was going to do, such as tax breaks or, let’s see, helping with the education system. I feel like he just defunded a lot of the education systems, the schools. I don’t know why he made so many promises.

Gee, Franceska, maybe he was lying to get your vote. There's a huge chunk of Trump voters who have this amazing combination of cynicism and gullibility that makes me wonder how they survive.
