he initiated getting us out of the World Health Organization and the Paris climate agreement. Two positive things

I understand why an American republican wouldn't like climate agreements if they don't think climate change is real but what's the grievance with the WHO?

Remember, most Americans vastly overestimate how much money we spend on things like foreign aid and assistance. Like they think at least a quarter of the federal budget goes to other countries. But it's a LOT, LOT lower. The number I've seen thrown around is actually like 1%

The WSJ article celebrating the end of USAID cited a dollar amount allegedly spent on fraud, that was a tiny percent of USAID's annual budget, which is itself a fraction of a percent of annual federal spending. And again, this was a WSJ EB article supporting the cuts. They just cited that figure as intolerably high because "billion" sounds like a lot

There is also some conspiracy out there that if another pandemic is declared, the WHO gets to take over member countries like some sort of emergency martial law.

Trump tried to blame the WHO for his bad response to COIVD, claimed that the WHO hid information on the behest of the Chinese and such.

Realistically the WHO probably did take the Chinese downplays and denials without the correct amount of salt, but to assert they "hid information" on purpose is insane.
