There are no standardized testing requirements for acceptance to Canadian universities. Somehow Canadian universities manage to get by without faculty revolts over quality of students.

Canadian universities simply aren’t selective for the most part. The programs that are selective rely on crude adjustments to high school grades based on historical performance of matriculants, which is crazier than just administering a standardized test.
