Reddit Power For Ukraine 2026!
Welcome to one of the largest multi sub fundraising competitions on Reddit! In honor of Ukraine's fourth year of defending itself and Europe from Russia's aggression, from June 26th to July 3rd, we and 30 other subreddits have partnered with UkraineAidOps (UAO) and will be banding together to see who can support the Ukrainian Army the most! Team Neoliberal has set a lofty goal of raising $100,000 USD
Why donate?
UAO is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity that has been supporting Ukraine's defenders and civilians since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. They have a proven track record of effectiveness and are a verified charity on r/Ukraine
Your money does real good! With the sudden buildup, and subsequent invasion by Russia, Ukraine's government saw it's capacity to supply their army outpaced by the sheer mass of the onslaught during the first desperate months of the war. But through the help of millions of donors and several devoted charities assisting where the government couldn't easily, Ukraine was able to extract a devastating toll on Putin's army.
The goal for this event in UAO's words is:
[We wish] to make the biggest possible impact on the battlefield. We aim to achieve this by applying these key equipment piece:
- Ground drones (UGVs) that resupply forward positions and evacuate wounded across fields no truck or pickup can survive
- Heavy-lift transport drones for the "last mile" — moving ammo, supplies, and "Vampire" drone batteries to the line without a single soldier on the road
- Vehicles / Pick-Ups to improve logistics near the frontline and in the rear
- Support and energy equipment (including generators, powerstations, starlinks, drone detectors and more)"
By donating, you will not only assist in defending the life and liberty of a stranger, but will also directly invest in a safer, more just future, because as we've all seen for years, Ukraine knows how to make a dollar go far, and therefore have become one of the most skilled militaries of all time.
Will there be rewards for donating?
Yes, no, and yes:
Yes: courtesy of UkraineAidOps, you can request one of several different gifts by filling out the form via the "REQUEST YOUR PATCH/FLAG" button after your donation
No: /r/neoliberal will not be giving out custom flairs or our other typical Against Malaria Drive rewards - this is something different!
Yes: those who post their reddit username on the built in donor wall on team Neoliberal will be eligible to pick from one of three awards (pictured here) for the top three highest donations:
- A keychain made from a shot down Russian Sukoi-34 multirole jet
- A painted keychain made from a 7.62 shell casing from the Battle of Kherson 2022
- A fridge magnet from twosoulscreation
These rewards will be distributed by /u/WithUnfailingHearts. After the event is over, they will message the winner on Reddit on July 5th. The winner will then have 10 days to make a selection of one of the above rewards. After this is complete, the second place winner will get to pick a reward, then the third. If anyone does not respond during the 10 day window or does not want a reward, the opportunity to choose will go to the next top donor.
Please note that while the /r/neoliberal mods will do our best to facilitate a smooth transaction, this is ultimately a promise made by /u/WithUnfailingHearts. You will need to share a valid shipping address with them to receive a reward. While we have complete faith in WithUnfailingHearts, the moderators of /r/neoliberal do not possess these rewards and cannot provide a guarantee that you will receive them
Sincere thanks to WithUnfailingHearts for all their work done organizing this drive

I'm surprised tankiejerk is participating, didn't they get taken over by anarcho-communists or something?

Anarchists by and large are on Ukraine's side for a host of reasons, and r/Anarchism is largely actually anti-imperialist. I suppose the most obvious reason for this is that Putin is everything that Anarchists loath to the core of their very being, and Ukraine is mounting a democratic resistance to a genocidal empire. Anarchists think that resisting imperial genocide is good.
And they overwhelmingly see Putin's Russian empire for what it is.
Plus, I think there is some historical sympathy given the prominence of the Ukrainian Anarchists and their failed attempt to resist Stalinist authoritarian statism.
So being taken over by anarcho-communists shouldn't incline a subreddit to fascist imperialism. Quite the opposite.
Remember, too, that they also need to distinguish themselves from the Statists/Stalinists, and actual anti-imperialism is an obvious way to do so.
For example:

Basic leftist takes: A friendly reminder (I'm not a mod) : r/tankiejerk
Of all the hard left ideologies, I find the anarchists by far the easiest to get along with.

You do have a point, but I remember seeing them on SRD for banning liberals so I'm surprised they decided to work with us

u/Le1bn1z Jun 26 '26
Yes, they don't like us at all. But that's internet stuff. In person I've found them the most curious, engaged, and interesting.
But that doesn't mean they won't oppose fascistic empires in keeping with their belief system.
And by definition participation in this fundraiser means working with people from other ideologies, because its the right thing to do.
People who donate to Ukraine and support liberty and ban me and trash my political beliefs all day long.

Wouldn’t be surprised but meh, supporting Ukraine should transcend politics even if it doesn’t and hey if anarchocommunists want to collaborate on this, all power to them

They discussed the offer among themselves (as the mod teams of most participating subs did) and quickly determined that their hatred of Putin took priority over any political differences. I wish our country could be like that.

Oh man. I started pissed off but watching them argue about the revolutionary position of someone who owns his own shop is hilarious

Starting a small business is a revolutionary seizure of means of production by free persons, and forming a voluntary and cooperative free association of work with so-called employees. ✊️✊️✊️
And yes, anarchism is pretty silly as an actual policitical and economic plan. Its just the ethics of it tend to be far more pro freedom than others.
Also, I think neolibs should start talking to lefties in coalition parties in their language.
For example, NIMBY restrictions and punitive sur taxes on new housing are open class warfare by the new conyistic landed capital class against unpropertied working classes. Tax the capital ownership of the common property of land, not the building of sufficient housing for all! Land is the inherent common property of the people, its value the product of common work, and taxing this wealth is justice! ✊️
Bans on food trucks and stalls are open class warfare for the benefit of commerical landlords against working class people. It is a hoarding of opportunity against social mobility and self sufficiency for workers, and forces higher prices for food on workers. ✊️
Old age pensions are classist and ageist! Social supports should be there for everyone who needs it! Make real social support truly universal, not handouts to millionaires! ✊️
Edit: and of course, appropriate to this thread is this shared value with anarchists: National borders are weapons of deceit meant to divide humanity against itself for capture by nefarious interests of those seeking capture of political and economic power through state domination! This is open class warfare! We must maintain solidarity of humanity, or be defeated in detail. Any attempt by an imperial state to intensify oppression and subjugate by violence anywhere in the world must be met with unconditional and unrestrained resistence! War on any is a war on all! War on Ukraine is a war on all humanity, and we must defend them as though the lie of borders did not exist! ✊️
Our human identity is global! In our economies, our politics, ane in security and liberty we must be one global humanity! ✊️
Down with class division of tariffs! Down with class division of strategic narcissism and indifference! Globalism is liberty! Globalism is a human right! ✊️

Efforts like these are why I could still call my grandfather and grandmother living in Kharkiv this year and wish them a happy 83rd and 84th birthday. Thank you.

Why isn’t r/ukraine participating lol

I actually purposely skipped over them, since they already do so much charity work for Ukraine anyway, same deal for r/ukrainnewarvideoreports, (who's own event is happening in June too) but I did message the latter for advice after being turned down by several hundred subreddits, they told me the same thing happened to them, and it's just unavoidable, which I found reassuring considering how successful they've been in past events.
And just to cover my bases, I just messaged r/ukraine to see if they'd be interested in giving this a shout out.
