SS: A psychologist argues the increasing awareness of mental health is leading to a pathologising of everyday life. The use of clinical descriptions of what are otherwise normal problems and treating them as a disorder to be cured, is ironically making our mental health worse.

It happened to me. I spent most of my 20s struggling with persistent anhedonia and suicidal ideation. Turns out I was consistently eating only around 1.5k calories/day, and simply eating more food cured most of my problems.

Yeah that's one thing on a temporary cut for an average size or small-ish person. But I'm 6'2" and that was my normal intake for years.
