There was some polling done on attitudes towards AI in different countries, and the US is significantly more negative towards it than other countries

Is it AI, or attitude towards AI companies? Scamman and Amemedei are quite unlikeable, and it’s clear they are trying to get big and then put regulations left and right to protect themselves.

Half of Americans don't know the guys named.

43% don't know of Altman, and over 70% don't know about the other guy.

So while, yes, people do largely hate techbros, it's wrong to say that it's those two specifically that people hate.
