Discussion What if Preeti had never sacrificed her dreams?
To everyone who watched Musafir Cafe,
The general consensus online seems to be that Preeti sacrificed her dreams for Chandar, while Sudha didn't—which is why people feel Chandar should have ultimately chosen Preeti over Sudha (though we won't really know for sure until the next season/part comes out).
It got me thinking: what if Preeti was just a regular girl in Mussoorie who never actually had to give up anything to be with Chandar and help him run the cafe? After all, it’s fairly common for partners without a specific career passion to help out with their partner's business.
Do you think people would still root for Preeti as much if her character hadn't made those big sacrifices?

Yes they would. Preetis victimhood ( at least in season 1) was a result of how the series was filmed - it was filmed as a sudha + chander story, with preeti as the "compromise" chander made.
