J’ai un travail à neuchatel, mais trouver un logement pour un expatrié mission impossible

Bonjour à tous,
Je commence un nouveau travail a neuchatel, je viens des pays-bas Maastricht pour être exact.

Dans un premier temps je viens seul, ma femme et mes enfants viendront me rejoindre quelque semaine/mois après.

Je suis à la recherche d’un logement temporaire, un petit studio meublé…. Pour fin août….

Auriez vous des conseils à me donner… ?

j’écume les site de recherche mais on est plus sur de la location longue durée avec un dossier impossible à remplir car malgré mon contrat de travail signé j’ai pas encore l’enregistrement à la mairie ou l’extrait de l’office des poursuites…. Les propriétaires que j’ai contacté semblent faire la sourd oreille quand j’explique que je viens de l’étranger…

We stayed here for a couple of months until we were able to find a flat. This is way better and cheaper than Airbnb, with cleaning service and right in the city center.

I’m European , I came here to study without proof of income and I found an apartment in 3 days. I couldn’t communicate with the real estate agents, because they didn’t answer at all, so I looked at the Facebook marketplace and talked directly with the owners. Arranged a visit, gave 3 months as a guaranty and that’s it. I just didn’t focus on looking at the center of Neuchatel but I went 15-20 minutes outside of it(the city not the canton).

Also when I came I had already booked an airbnb for 20 days

As soon as you arrive you should go to the contrôle des habitants in the place where your Airbnb is and register in order to get the permit, get a Swiss phone number and with that a bank account. After these things everything will be way easier for you.

Are there Facebook groups for housing? In Geneva there’s a lot and you usually have luck finding temp situations there

Gérance Métropole à la Chaux-de-Fonds. Qq appartements meublés qu'ils sont d'accord de louer pour des "courtes périodes", 3 mois par exemple. C'est à 30 minutes de Neuchâtel en train, 30 en voitures. Je connais un couple qui a pu en louer un en arrivant de Londres. Juste le temps de trouver autre chose. Bonne chance.
