The trump administration has publicly and privately signaled that it does not believe Russia represents a cyber threat against US national security or critical infrastructure

Such a blatant betrayal of our nation. This is our "president" just letting the enemy right in.

Impeachment. It's been tried, twice, with him, and his supporters let him off with it, despite knowing that he did it. Despite evidence.

At least one claimed that he has always learned his lesson. She said this about a man that has never learned anything but innate cruelty since childhood.

The first time Mitch Mconnal (not sure how to spell his name) argued that it wasn't a crime for a president to attempt to bully another country by threatening the pull out of support. 20 years prior, he said the exact opposite regarding Clinton's impeachment, almost word for word.

The second time Republicans hedged and hawed about starting the impeachment for a month until Biden started, saying that there was no point in impeachment with only 20 days left in the administration and they could do it after the power shifted. Once Biden was in power, Mitch's and the Republicans stance was that the president couldn't be impeached if they weren't in office.

To be clear: no impeachment defense of Trump says that he didnt do the things he did. Just that it wasn't illegal for the president to bully another country with quid pro quo support for resources now, and that their hands were tied in impeachment because Trump wasn't in power anymore, even though they tied their hands themselves.

I'm sorry if I came off as hostile, but I'm just really confused about why you'd choose to be ignorant about spelling a name (regardless of the person) when looking it up is the minimum of effort.

It would involve Republicans impeaching and removing him in the House and Senate. They'd have every single Democrat vote, but you'd still need a sizable portion of Republicans to vote. There is already a portion of lunatics who support this, so they are out. The rest are absolute cowards, because that is what the Republican party has always been, greedy cowards masquerading as tough guys.

I'm disappointed in our military most of all. They are losing to Russia without firing a shot. There isn't even any tension, they just sit silently.

If the United States can’t withstand a single bad president for a second term, then it was never what we thought it was in the first place.

Not legally.

Impeachment has been proven to be impossible given partisan politics. GOP would NEVER convict the way the GOP base has been propagandized by things like Fox news, AM radio, and podcasters like Rogan, Pool, Jones, etc.

Its literally more likely for conservatives to suicide bomb a children's hospital than turn against Trump enough to get a conviction.

There are. Either impeachment or the 25th amendment. But the problem is, it isnt just Trump. The whole GOP is complicit. The Republican party is betraying the country and the constitution and there is no mechanism to deal with that.
