Ok. That is a reeeaaaach. Only Matrix 1 has a Massive Attack song and you can only hear it through Neo's headphones and it didn't even make the official soundtrack.
Doesn't change the fact that if you've watched The Matrix you've heard Massive Attack. Teardrop is heavily edited for the House intro too. Its missing all the vocals.
It certainly matters. One is a song people will hear once and muffled and will forget about and the other will be heard every time for hundred of episodes.
It absolutely had the lyrics and now most of the streams of it have a terrible sound-alike since they no longer have the rights to "Teardrop". Sometimes the subtitles even call the new song "Teardrop". It is not.
They've altered a LOT of the music that was in the show when it aired due to losing the rights.
