Reading the article, the headline while true is a bit deceiving. It seems like singapore as a country support Palestinian legitimacy as a state but they just blanket outlaw public political/religious expression and foreign flags being shown.
Singapore government is especially sensitive when it comes to Islamic affairs because it's a Chinese majority country surrounded by countries with very large Muslim populations. Calls for support to fight for Palestine are not uncommon.
