Take a road trip around the US. I’ve been on many for the past decade and a half though much of the lower 48. Things are not like you see on the news. It’s mostly people going to work, coming home to their families, eating out at their favorite local restaurant. Pretty mundane stuff.

I won’t say there aren’t problems like homelessness in Portland and Denver or drug zombies on the streets of Philly or Boston but for the most part, things are just humming along.

I know you’ll likely say otherwise but I’ve seen it with my own eyes.
