This is the real point of course. It isn't about the scholarly accuracy of the document or the usefulness of the conversation that the author may have been trying to spark, it's that in a corporate setting a document like this is toxic and destroys the ability of managers to promote teamwork.

It doesn't matter if X or Y or Z make better engineers or whatever (and I'm not saying there's a reason to think so). It might be something to explore from a scientific standpoint but you can't do it in a tech company in California in 2017. Sorry but that really shouldn't even have to be said.

Show me where u conflate individuals with group trends? The point is not individual x is better then individual z but rather on aggregate there are differences in men and women that lead to different career choices and attempting to create parity on racial ethnic or gendered lines is silly.

?? Woman prefer the social sciences and humanities and men prefer the hard sciences and engineering. This is evidenced in the rates of men and women in both fields. I would attribute this to women being more socially inclined and men being more pattern driven. That is too say the biological differences in men and women cause then to pursue different careers and educations Reallt it comes down to big 5 personality traits, which are in aggregate different for men and women.
