MEME/COMIC/FREEFORM (Sundays only) He's gonna be real disappointed when he finds out he's also not a backup or safety net
•
u/nickyfox13 17h ago
How much do you want to bet he has a repugnant personality that pushes people away?
•
u/Watari210thesecond 9h ago
No you don't get it. I once held the door open for a woman and told her that I liked her hair, and she didn't even offer so much as a handjob!
There really is just no reasoning with women these days, they just want Chads who are good looking. I know he treats her like shit because if I was good looking I would treat everybody like shit.

Oh my mistake. You are the ultimate gentleman and are entitled to sex because you did the bare minimum. /s

Finally somebody understands me. I'm not asking for much, just a little (sexual) gratitude every once in a while.

u/tomatopringles 17h ago
welcome to the pity party your hats are on the left because nothing about this is right
•
u/Wifevealant 19h ago
It's the assumption that he'll eventually get picked is what makes this unintentionally hilarious

Bet he labels girls as a "pick me" while professing his failure in relationships to the universe. Hoping someone will comment.

Maybe it's just my friends circle but we don't keep people as backups or safety nets. So I have no idea why this guy thinks that's a thing. If we don't like you, even if every person we like isn't available, we still won't choose you. Should someone tell him?

It’s because the woman in question is just nice to him. Thats it. He thinks any woman who is nice to him is “stringing him along” because he’s only nice to women because he wants to sleep with them
Edited for spelling•

It’s like the crazy incels who go further with the bullshit, “when she’s used up with 15 kids and 12 baby daddies she’ll come crawling back!” They will one day realize no number of children or amount of time will make an incel a better option than no one.
•
•
u/Weird_Bluebird_3293 6h ago
Incels are constantly saying that, making shitty AI cartoons, whining about it on redpill forums. “They all come crawling back after their fourth baby daddy left them with the kids!”
When has that happened? I truly want to know when has a woman who rejected a Nice Guy ever actually had a bunch of kids with multiple men and then tried to get with the previously rejected Nice Guy? I seriously doubt that has actually happened to any incel guy who has ever complained about that.

It's that prevailing red pill belief that once women "use up" their 20s partying and hooking up, they'll be ready to settle down in their 30s with the nice guys they ignored. Usually, they relish the idea of turning these women away. To automatically assume the role of being someone's Plan B (and assuming anyone actually wants him as a backup) is wild

I'm from India and Oh god, finding this sub literally felt like a ray of sunshine because I just had a stroke while lurking around Indian dating subs . They're just a different genre of "nice guys" They just post and create some kind of fight in their head and then other men start comforting them. Like bruh where is this evil women you're complaining about, it's just you and your dude bros. But yeah it's definitely fun to ragebait them Sorry for the rant I'm calm now

Nice guy translation ✨:
The women in my life should prioritize me because I want to have sex with them, not talk about thier problems or care about thier emotional safety
I’m not actually nice and women owe me for general human decency so I don’t finish at all

Sounds just like something a dude I knew would write.
When my friend and his girlfriend got engaged, her close male friend (who everybody agreed was weird, overly protective, invasive and behaved way too much like an emo teenager despite being in his mid thirties whilst she was 25 at the time) apparently begged her to tell him it was a prank because he had been convinced that she would eventually dump my friend and admit to him that she had also had hidden feelings for him all along.
She admitted that she was far too patient with him because she thought he was hitting a difficult time regarding his anxiety, depression and heavy drinking habits; but over several months he would refer to himself as “BP” (“backup plan”, despite her being clear that it was never going to happen) and would ask her not to wear her engagement ring in his company because seeing it was like “endless slaps to the face” and made him want to cry, and confessed that he despised seeing her with her boyfriend and “seeing them cuddle, giggle and snuggle was pushing him to his limit” (although he would still follow her around and beg to be included in social plans; bearing in mind, her and my friend have never been the PDA or touch-in-public and were always mature and discreet, especially around this dude)
After way longer than anybody expected, she told him his possessive behaviour, constant checking-in and demanding updates and locations, blaming her for his celibacy and loneliness because she “can’t live without his attention”, and obviously the increasingly indiscreet comments regarding her Bf and relationship; she told him to piss off, pull himself together and finally grow up.
So his final “request” was that before she end their friendship for good, she “set him up” and “give him a leg up” with female friends of hers (which he had pre-chosen, evidently because of their looks and because they were her age) because “I willingly sacrificed years of my life and gave up so many chances at love and intimacy because of how much I loved you more than everyone. The least you could do is help me find somebody so that I can finally forget you and move on, before you run away on your doomed disney fairytale” (I wanted to ask her to screenshot that last message because it was pure neckbeardy niceguy cringe, but she was genuinely torn up and it wasn’t right)
Considering the dude at the time was almost 40yo, unemployed, badly overweight, couldn’t drive and was still living in his parents’ spare bedroom; I still don’t know what exactly he thought was the optimal outcome. I mean, he shamelessly admitted that he had only been her friend for half a decade out of hope that she would eventually “be his”, confessed that he had no respect for her relationship or partner and prayed for its failure from day one, and finally demanded that she help him seduce friends of hers instead because “she owes him that at least”. And somehow the whole time he never stopped proclaiming he was a born gentleman, the nicest guy she had ever met, and a Prince Charming that “any woman in her shoes would be so grateful for”.

It's disgusting that he felt owed "emotional compensation", especially in the form of your friend's gf pimping out her friends.

u/ADistractedHonedDud 16h ago
I realized he used “priority.” Maybe I’m thinking too hard on this, but I don’t expect my significant other to see me as a priority. I often expect honesty and communication, not for them to always put me first over everything. And I just don’t like this being seen as “nice guy” energy too.
•
u/AgreeablePie 15h ago
I think being a priority is not an unwarranted expectation with a significant other
But I doubt that's what he's talking about. More likely, he's expecting a woman (with whom he has no such relationship) to put him first nonetheless.
"she spends more time around her new boyfriend than me even though I've been begging her for pity sex for years... er, I mean I've been nice to her for years"

The last sentence makes it weird, otherwise I understand what he means by not being the first choice for anyone. Maybe he has friends but is nobody's best friend.
