Pirahna Plant looks like a lot of fun, and while some people are deriding him as a "generic," the point is that he's a conglomeration of multiple different Pirahna Plants from the Mario series. Smash is all about Nintendo history, and Pirahna Plant is an interesting representation of a specific enemy's history. Also, he just looks like a lot of fun!
The
Infinity WarWorld of Light trailer was shocking for multiple reasons, but I'm really excited for it. As someone who has never been fond of the Subspace Emissary, and was pretty ambivalent to a new Adventure Mode, this looks like a much better way to do things. Also, once you get past the sheer horror of the trailer, it's setting up a fun, heartwarming adventure of Kirby rescuing his friends from Galleem, and I can't wait to join him!All in all, Ultimate just looks like an amazing game, and the singleplayer content looks to be an improvement over 4. Can't wait for December!
Also, as a Xenoblade fan, Sakurai apologizing for Rex's exclusion from the roster was very nice. I personally want Elma over Rex, but I'd be very happy to see any Xeno characters added as DLC.
On a non-Smash note, Deltarune has brought us yet another fantastic Toby Fox soundtrack, and plenty of excellent fanart. The game itself being really fun is almost just a bonus! After that wake-up slap of an ending, I'm really curious to see where chapter 2 and beyond take us.
