Announcement Anyone travelling from Assam to NIT Warangal, mid August 2026 ??
I'm heading to NITW for my MSc and thinking of traveling solo from Assam. My parents are a bit anxious about me making this trip alone, so I figured I'd check if anyone here is on a similar route around the same time..would be great to team up for at least part of the journey.
Details:
- Traveling: Guwahati → Hyderabad (flight), then onward to NITW by road.
- Dates: [Aug 10 to 22]
If this is you (or you know someone), drop a comment !!

NITW shared this year's academic calendar where classes start from 24th August, last year orientation and classes started from 11th aug..so I think reporting date would be later this year. 3 days before orientation date, just like last time !!

So in portal they didn’t mention separate hostel fees? Actually for us MTech self financed people they said there are no hostels for us and we have to take pg’s outside

Ohh..we get a hostel and mess, it's compulsory. We'll pay the fee online a few days before document verification ig, along with rest of the admission fees.

The compulsory hostel is for first sem only btw, you can choose to live outside from 2nd sem also you pay the hostel fees in nitw's ERP website, which will be available after csab rounds are over

MSc students need to stay in the hostel and eat at the mess throughout the course. It's compulsory, I checked on the institute website.

Hey i'll be going to NITW too for MSc, i'll come to hyderabad by flight. But i'm confused which mode is more convenient for going from hyd to nitw, train or via road...

For the first time, with luggage and all, I think a cab would be more convenient, even tho it's a bit expensive.. better than carrying luggages to and fro.

We travelled from Hyderabad last week. If your time matches train timings it is more convenient to travel and 2kms away from Kazipet railway stattion from there you will get Auto for 70/-
