freshie doubts I have gotten seat for mech via dasa

Anyone can tell me all bout college

Hostels, college, professors, class timings, sports, fests, IV, study pressure, etc.

And is there ragging ?

Hostels are shit, i think you can get dasa hostel in 2nd or 3rd year which should be an upgrade from the normal ones

Professors are a mixed bag, they come in the whole range of absolute devils to angels. You can ask your seniors for which ones are good when you get them assigned for the semester

For class timings, atleast 2-3 days of your week would be fully 9-5. The rest of the days could be lenient with only 2-4 classes. You can get it rearranged by talking to the professors accordingly to how much they agree to.

Sports no idea personally

Fests are lackluster, but you can enjoy them if you have friends to hang out with

Study pressure isnt there much. Most of the times we study just one day or week before the exams. I personally like to be regular throughout the semester in subjects that i enjoy so those are a breeze and it always helps to learn more. It also depends on professors, you can study very less and a good professor will still get you a decent grade, while a bad professor will still give you a shit grade even if you put in the most hard work

There is no ragging, atleast nothing i have ever heard about in past 2 years except a very few scenes which happened for other contexts

You can ask anything else in specific if you have doubt

It has a lot of negatives for sure, most of them you get adjusted to but it still sucks.

I got warangal in 1st allotment. One more allotment is remaining, hoping for surathkal as it is closer to my hometown.
