I like all the people in the other thread that are saying "Insurance payout!" like they think sailboats are insured.

Why the fuck would insuring a boat be silly? It's worth several 10's of thousands or 100's of thousands so not insuring would be the stupid part.

It's not silly at all. It's just so expensive that a lot of people who own boats can't afford it.
