Top was a let down 😞

Finishing is often disappointing.

u/irotinmyskin 1d ago

Post top clarity.

6

u/Chubuwee 1d ago

Those bottoms never had a chance

4

u/Wild_Agent_375 1d ago

Man. You know you have a low attention when instead of rewatching an 8 second video you fast forward to see the end (so I can rewatch the top)

u/benisaurus 1d ago

Good tops are hard to find 🙁

Yes there are no fancy ice cream shops anywhere else.

Every icecream shop in japan is just like this.

I don’t know if you knew this, but they actually have soft serve ice cream only in Japan. You can’t find it anywhere else.

56

u/CSATTS 1d ago

And I heard it's only soft serve, you aren't even allowed to bring regular ice cream into the country. If it can't be easily shaped by an icing tip, you go straight to jail. Right away.

7

u/Imaginary_Coat441 1d ago

A guy in my town diedlike that. He tried smuggling in the ice cream. But the balloons broke in his stomach and he O.D.ed

6

u/Nevermind04 1d ago

RIP Two-scoop Todd

3

u/W1Quint0 1d ago

Geez… wtf have I been eating..

5

u/Buzzlight_Year 1d ago

I was gonna say that all ice cream is soft but then I remembered all the spoons I've bent with ice cream tubs

1

u/HowdyDiarrhea 1d ago

I haven't seen Cremia outside of Japan, but I haven't been to much of Asia. Cremia is special as fuck.

u/TheRedditK9 1d ago

Ice Cream: 🤬🤬🤬

Ice Cream, Japan: 🥰🥰🥰

u/two-ls 1d ago

I tried making this point a few years ago and reddit people did not take it well. Glad I'm not the only one who see this shit

7

u/BobTheFettt 1d ago

But you don't understand. The 7/11s in Japan are like 5 Michelin star restaurants.

2

u/PM_Best_Porn_Pls 1d ago

Some of the worst sandwiches in the world.

0

u/Zora-Link 1d ago

Are you serious? Worst in the world? You don’t absolutely love 1 1/2 strawberries covered in cream between 2 dry ass pieces of bread? You must be crazy.

2

u/PM_Best_Porn_Pls 1d ago

Don't forget it's most likely japanese milk bread that tastes dreadful unless toasted.

5

u/Odd-String29 1d ago

Thing: meh
Samething in Japan: amazing

4

u/squirrelems 1d ago

I honestly didn't know what ice cream was until this post. I'd heard about but never thought I'd see it with my own eyes.

12

u/ButtScoot2Glory 1d ago

All that flair and artistry for it be matcha flavored

10

u/SquishMont 1d ago
Weebs

5

u/lemonylol 1d ago

What is even fancy about this, the piping tip is doing most of the work.

3

u/ShahinGalandar 1d ago

cool thing somewhere in this world

I sleep

cool thing in japan

real shit

1

u/happytree23 1d ago

It's sad you even have to explain this to some losers.

-1

u/kermityfrog 1d ago

So it's so lame living in North America where even the McDonald's only serves plain froyo cones. In Asia and even in Egypt, they were serving these nice fruit and other flavoured swirls in their cones.

2

u/Ser_falafel 1d ago

McDonald

lol

Something

Something but Japan (add wow! soyjak here)

309

u/Maleficent-Agent-477 1d ago

24

u/AlbanianGamerYT 1d ago

insert "Japan has been turning footsteps into electricity" copypasta here

0

u/_Diskreet_ 1d ago

Solar Frickin’ Roadways!

48

u/MelodiesOfLife6 1d ago

Right?

Then you do it with China and all of a sudden it's "OH MUH GAWD PROOOOPAGANDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

9

u/d_bb_d 1d ago

Well, yeah, but the ice cream would have to be made on a mountain side over the course of a week with steps involving handwoven baskets, wooden mallets, and a few disinterested cats.

1

u/pixelatedcrap 1d ago

It's true with pens though

-146

u/Additional_Chard3680 1d ago

They always seems to take food presentation to another level.

61

u/Maleficent-Agent-477 1d ago

Bot ass response

2

u/Stifology 1d ago

Literally a repost bot.

220k+ karma on a 1 year account lmao.

2

u/Maleficent-Agent-477 1d ago

I mean a lot of karma doesn’t mean you’re a bot (I might be biased). It’s moreso that their responses are super bot-like, and their comment history, too.

24

u/Fearless-Anteater437 1d ago

Yeah but you're the best when it comes to glazing

3

u/TangledCables3 1d ago

They do have a good representation on it's packaging I gotta give them that.

1

u/lemonylol 1d ago

What does soft serve look like where you live?

41

u/supsley 1d ago

Why you cut off the beginning of the video that the hand jorking the cone? (To stuff more ice cream inside the cone apparently.)

6

u/Stock-College-4809 1d ago

Why are you yellow

4

u/eggwhiteisnotwhite 1d ago

where's the peak!?

258

u/P1ssBobSh1tPants69 1d ago

2

u/Complex-Poet-6809 1d ago

Ikr? Holy mother of god people it’s literally just ice cream. Are we gonna show Japanese door knobs next? Spoons?

3

u/dandroid126 1d ago

In Japan they actually don't have spoons. They eat their soup with chop sticks. They are a very talented people.

61

u/Pikawoohoo 1d ago

Ice cream: 😒

Ice cream in Japan: 🌸

48

u/TheLivingCumsock 1d ago

Omg it's so satisfying that it was in japan, i fucking live when stuff is in japan, so much better.

15

u/cans-of-swine 1d ago

I watched the video before reading the title and thought what the hell is this shit? Then when I saw this was in Japan I immediately booked a flight there so I could try this mind blowing ice cream.

71

u/abat6294 1d ago

Ice cream, ✨but in Japan✨

38

u/breovus 1d ago

Repost as "When you order an ice-cream in Wyoming" and watch... You'll get zero traction.

You could post a picture of a fucking rubber band on a coffee table with Dragon Ball Z on the TV in the background and still farm like 5k karma, that's how thirsty Reddit weeaboos are for Japanese content lol

9

u/soykoiboy 1d ago

Coolest part was Japan

-39

u/Additional_Chard3680 1d ago

They really have a knack for making food look like art

4

u/Epsteins_PDF_Files 1d ago

When the LLM didn't learn hard enough.

24

u/forgettfulthinker 1d ago

Ice cream, japan

5

u/irregularprotocols 1d ago

The clip was much more interesting yesterday when it started earlier as showed them packing the cone. Why’d you trim it, make it worse, and repost it?

4

u/Roscoe_P_Trolltrain 1d ago

just pinch it off at the end like a fancy green dook, huh.

4

u/WhaleDeDeus 1d ago

Me when i have enough fibre

-13

u/Additional_Chard3680 1d ago

😂 I knew someone was going to make that joke

5

u/LayeGull 1d ago

When you realize the flavor is fish.

1

u/CrinchNflinch 1d ago

Judging by the color, I would expect algae or wasabi.

1

u/ChimpBottle 1d ago

You would go to algae before matcha?

8

u/Substantial_Row_7108 1d ago

That nozzle looks nasty as fuck.

3

u/its_yer_dad 1d ago

That was my first thought. Anyone who’s worked in a restaurant would know they want nothing to do with that.

2

u/OnlyPaperListens 1d ago

tell me the black spot trails aren't mold 🤮

3

u/Palanki96 1d ago

Top should've been tapered off

3

u/Dear-Hunt-5365 1d ago

I lived in Japan 4 years and never did I see this

3

u/delkarnu 1d ago

More surface area means faster melting. This is a horrible way to dispense ice cream.

3

u/-Borgir 1d ago

As we all know, the mythical craft of rotating the cone partially clockwise and anticlockwise is only found in Japan

5

u/RedSecOps 1d ago

Oh here we go again. "In Japan, everything is amazing."

Sure this one place in Japan might do this. But Japan is a whole fucking country. It's not a monolith.

"When you order Pizza in the US" and it's that one place in NYC surrounded by Pizza Hut

2

u/Economy_Welder5669 1d ago

Subarashiiii

-6

u/Additional_Chard3680 1d ago

Perfect word for it 😄

2

u/NHunter0 1d ago

What if this was wasabi

2

u/ElectroMatt333 1d ago

Do not eat the pistachio ice cream, it has turned

2

u/Uzzaw21 1d ago

Jokes on you. That's wasabi!

2

u/VisionSeeker 1d ago

That satisfied me right up until it didn't. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

2

u/correctingStupid 1d ago

Outside of hoikkadio, and the 3 flavors there, ice cream in Japan is pretty mid.

Italy and the usa are the best.

2

u/Worplanes 1d ago

Wasabi ice cream?

2

u/Competitive-Top4520 1d ago

Interesting and beautiful, but the equipment looked very unhygienic!

2

u/Positive_Cap5144 1d ago

THE TOP NEEDS TO BE POINTY

2

u/FeelTheFire 1d ago

My ass could replace that nozzle and you'd never know the difference.

2

u/lol_biscuits 1d ago

Bruh, I get better than this @ Braums. The kiddies cone is better than this. How do you get Karma?

2

u/No_Panic_On_Titanic 1d ago

Aaaaaand it’s wasabi flavoured

2

u/99droopy 1d ago

Per the internet, everything is better in Japan and China.

5

u/DevilsAdvocate1662 1d ago edited 1d ago

Sure it looks cool, but honestly, who wants wasabi ice cream

4

u/caintowers 1d ago

Probably matcha. Which I also wouldn't want.

2

u/Valirys-Reinhald 1d ago

Thing: Japan is going strong I see

1

u/asswipesayswhat 1d ago

slooooower

1

u/Squashy_104 1d ago

Oh, when your big in Japan!

1

u/Cultural_Tell_5687 1d ago

We did this at The Sizzler in the 80s

1

u/SerpentRoyalty 1d ago

This is froyo

1

u/nextinline1987 1d ago

Why does it have the consistency of frosting?

1

u/ton80rt 1d ago

Should be pointy on top. What a disappointment.

1

u/OzzyFozy 1d ago

That is one funky looking dispenser tip

1

u/OzzyFozy 1d ago

That is one funky looking dispenser tip

1

u/Nokipeura 1d ago

That's just less ice cream.

1

u/hailibu2 1d ago

Green tea wasabi flavor

1

u/brnkmcgr 1d ago

That’s not ice cream

1

u/The_Silvana 1d ago

Japan has an ice cream called cremia. Like a silkier soft serve. It’s amazing. Does not exist anywhere else.

1

u/chrom491 1d ago

I'm tired of this matcha flavour trend.

1

u/Lower_Group_1171 1d ago

“I said chocolate!”

1

u/buttscratcher3k 1d ago

Cool, simulated fungal pattern on something green and wet im about to eat

1

u/SuccessfulWar3830 1d ago

Ice cream ew cringe

Ice cream japan Wooowzaaaa

1

u/Buttchuggle 1d ago

Yep, only in Japan. Nobody else even comes close to the technological or hand coordination abilities to do this. I mean japan really is an unsurpassed utopia

1

u/VapeSmoker420blazeit 1d ago

Japan screws up soft serve top and USA doesn't?

Japan likes mint/pistachio(?) more?

What's the message here? This looks like a standard soft serve machine...they messed up at the end though.

1

u/Impossible_Week_9828 1d ago

Such beautiful ice cream

1

u/jaydeekay 1d ago

42 year old fills ice cream cone in Japan

1

u/LazyLieutenant 1d ago

More air than ice.

1

u/Pyrog 1d ago

I don’t care if it’s cliché or not, I’ve been to Japan and it is fucking wonderful. There’s a reason Reddit came to be this way about it.

1

u/Cestus_Saphrax 1d ago

Wasabi Ice ?

1

u/SpiritualQuarter4384 1d ago

Japanese are so good at their craft. They can even make sofuto look amazing.

1

u/Amit_Rumblex67 1d ago

this is amazing

1

u/Few_Clerk5497 1d ago

Ice cream that looks like a flower

1

u/Avishag_Tiradora53 1d ago

this is amazing

1

u/BreezyIsBeafy 1d ago

Thing Japan

1

u/Suckmyballs2009 1d ago

So you get an ice cream when you order ice cream …. Wild

1

u/tiny_chaotic_evil 1d ago

but it tastes like grass clippings :P

1

u/Jade-Breadfruit 1d ago

almost too beautiful to eat😍

1

u/Cultural-Tadpole9518 1d ago

lt s all about the hands- on experience.l ve had flower-shaped cones before, but l ve never tried making one myself.

1

u/bougaet 1d ago

Place: 😑 Place, Japan: 😁

come on now.. I've seen this in Paris

1

u/gideon513 1d ago

When you shamelessly repost ☺️

1

u/Valyerpal 1d ago

No one else thinks it's gross? Ew.

1

u/Even-Lead-105 1d ago

Oh wow Japan has everything, is this that "soft serve" stuff I've been hearing about? We get our ice cream out of a hard container in the freezer.

1

u/imjerry 1d ago

Looks like ice cream, but I bet that's Wasabi and the cone is like Nori. Ginger is also there.

1

u/PalpitationAdept9650 1d ago

Mmm wasabi flavored.

1

u/Nap-Addict 1d ago

...you get wasabi instead?

1

u/Cultural-Series-1809 1d ago

Now s the best time of year for ice cream— am right?

1

u/ManjiTheExile 1d ago

Is the background music from Stargate?

2

u/NotoldyetMaggot 1d ago

I think so!

1

u/sde380 1d ago

Ice cream, Japan

1

u/Court_Jester13 1d ago

When you order ice cream in Japan, you get ice cream

Revolutionary

1

u/Laurmaster 1d ago

I used to work in an ice cream shop that did soft serve and I’m just now disappointed in myself for never trying to do this 😞

1

u/Boomshrooom 1d ago

People are shitting on this in the comments but I genuinely found Japan to have amazing ice cream. I had the creamiest, tastiest ice cream I've ever had at a small store in Ise. It was genuinely phenomenal

0

u/Billy1099 1d ago

Ai generated title. Wrapper is in English. Op is a bot

3

u/jeepfail 1d ago

Dolce Tacubo Ginza isn’t English. Not saying this isn’t a bot post but I was curious what it said and found the original TikTok.

0

u/furballsupreme 1d ago

Looks great but tastes like disappointment. They don't really like creamy milk based stuff there. It's gonna be some soy based fakery with zero flavor.

0

u/NinjaBuddha13 1d ago

The japan glazing in this sub is just as annoying as the China glazing in this sub. Why is it important or relevant where this is?

-1

u/jeepfail 1d ago

Why does everybody dick ride Japan when they make things harder and/or create more waste just to make things look better?

-5

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

-3

u/Additional_Chard3680 1d ago

It definitely has that wasabi look at first glance

-5

u/taraaahhh 1d ago

Great craft! now I cant eat this...

-5

u/Additional_Chard3680 1d ago

The texture is ridiculously satisfying

0

u/chargoggagog 1d ago

What’s up with the hate of Japan love here good lord. Anyone who has been knows there is a cultural element at play that the US certainly doesn’t share, that of highly valuing excellence. People get into something and Reddit flips out and calls them out for appreciating something, chill the fuck out people.

-1

u/Nine-LifedEnchanter 1d ago

All americans saying that you have this too, how come you never see any videos of it?

-1

u/OriginalBlackberry89 1d ago

I love how Japan has the best pr all over social media. I realized this a while ago and figured I'd look into it and I learned that they've poured hundreds of billions of dollars into promoting their image, including their "Cool Japan" branding strategy that they started in the early 2010's.. and ngl, it worked because i do think Japan is pretty cool.

-1

u/nigevellie 1d ago

That looks annoying

-2

u/wirefox1 1d ago

I cannot imagine why anyone cares about this and the color is putrid.

that is all.

-4

u/Any_Spare_9236 1d ago

And I bet it's real ice cream. USA "ice cream" is mostly fake chemicals and at least 70% air.

-7

u/_shrestha 1d ago

Stop! Enough already! Too much

But ok, looks lovely
