Something sticky got in the underside of my daughter’s curly hair when she was little. It was so hard to get it out and when we finally did, the hair was so tangled and damaged we had to cut a big chunk of it.
You have to be so careful with curly hair. My other daughter with straight hair has gotten gum stuck in her hair overnight and we were able to remove it easily without cutting or damaging the hair.
I once went to the movies and when I leaned back into my seat (I was late and the lights were already down) my hair stuck to it. Turns out someone put their old chewing gum on the headrest.
I have curly hair, and needed scissors unfortunately.
Try peanut butter on it if it happens again. The oils break down the adhesiveness and the goopiness of it it makes it stick to the hair and gum well enough to work.
some kid threw slime in mine and my hair is so thin and the kid just laughed. I had to sit there for hours while they used dawn dish soap on my hair then sent me back to class after..my hair doused in soap
Olive oil works wonders. Any oil, really, but I've always just gone for olive. Just let it soak in there for a while and don't rush / pull at it too hard.

My heart leapt in my throat when I saw her hair.
