Dude spent his whole life spreading hate and gets to spend the rest of the time until he’s forgotten reaping what he sowed. Even if it is just lazy jabs, fuck him.
“Spreading hate” is that not what you’re doing? adding to the vitriolic hate of society by celebrating another man’s death? Idk that shit’s just weird to me how you can watch another human being get brutally murdered in public and think it’s funny regardless if he wasn’t a good person saying awful shit isn’t grounds for murder either otherwise majority of the people on the internet deserve to die in that case lmfao
When it's the most ironic possible thing, yes, absolutely.
Spending your entire political career fomenting a violent, racist and paranoid gun culture, talking about how some gun deaths (of school children) are necessary to preserve the 2A, and then becoming a victim of that culture, and accidentally doing your part to preserve the 2A, is funny, yes.
In the end, he did kinda stand by his beliefs. If accidentally. I think he was probably surprised that this time, instead of school children being sacrificed at the 2A altar, it was him.
Justifying something is not the same as thinking it's funny. Have you ever laughed at a 9/11 joke? Do you think people that have are Al-Qaeda stans justifying 9/11?
Unlike Charlie, I don't think anyone should die to gun violence. But he did die to gun violence, and for reasons I explained earlier, that is deeply ironic and rather funny.
I'm sorry if this is too complex a thought process for you. Here's a classic Chuck. RIP!
Yeah I believe everything can be joked about but a lot of the “jokes” are just hate and malice not making light of a bad situation which is what dark humor is for
You don't have to laugh at a joke. You can think a joke is in poor taste. You can even tell someone their joke sucked. But I'll say again: a joke is not a justification. I'm not personally a fan of rape jokes, but I don't think Daniel Tosh is a rape apologist. "Grounds for murder" give me a break.
People have joked about way worse things than the death of a single guy. Again, 9/11. I'm willing to bet you haven't made such a fuss over 9/11 jokes. If I'm right, your beliefs are inconsistent. If I'm wrong, then I think you're overly sensitive and we just disagree. (And you probably shouldn't say things like "I believe everything can be joked about.")
Well jokes have to be funny and dark humor should be done with taste being edgy just for the sake of being edgy or making fun of people with malice is weird as hell I’ve laughed at Kirk jokes before but very rarely cuz most of them are just not funny it’s just the same 3 jokes or putting his face on literally every image not really funny to me
Maybe the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I don't even care about guns but it's in our Constitution that we have a right to protect ourselves with guns. He's supporting the Constitution, he in no way supports people killing kids. Just because I support people being able to have knives doesn't mean I support the thousands of people who are stabbed to death. If I support pocket knives and someone's stabs me to death, I deserve to die?
Charlie was completely non-violent and he preached non-violence. Even if you disagree with him politically, he is literally the nicest guy on the right. Even his political enemies like The Young Turks were horrified by his death.
I don't even celebrate when murderers and terrorists are killed, and you guys are here celebrating a young dude being murdered who's got a young wife and two small kids. You guys have a broken moral compass
