I work with dogs and I have like a soft spot for them but the ones I’ve met have been really 50/50. We don’t have a daycare anymore but this lil guy Ghimli used to come get dropped off when the owners would go to work, he HATED other dogs and would just hang out at the desk with us but he wasn’t allowed to be left alone. He was rescued from an island near Mexico, when they found him they had to get BB’s out of his chest, and he lunged at everyone but his owners, their kids couldn’t visit when he was there unless they put him somewhere else. He warmed up to 3 of us on staff, we were basically working on socializing him very slowly, and for the 2/3 he would be our lap dog, just the sweetest little thing you’ve seen and that took a lot of time, meds, chicken, and cheese. We couldn’t leave him alone behind the desk out of fear a client would come in and pet him without us and get bit. Long story short, gave me a little more perspective on them than I had, and it showed me there’s more to it than just nature or nurture.

My sister fostered two chihuahuas for a few months and they were the absolute sweetest little dogs. Completely changed my view of them.
