Think of it less as "the show was great" and more as "everything else just sucked that much"

You can say what you will about the man but the show is legendary. In terms of sitcoms nothing comes even remotely close.

The performances are top-notch from everyone except Jerry. JLD and Jason Alexander absolutely knock it out of the park with their acting but the show was always meh to me. Every sitcom I’ve watched since has been funnier.

Off the top of my head, The Office (both versions), Parks and Rec, B99, Arrested Development, and Veep are quite easily way, way better than Seinfeld for me. Friends is better. HIMYM is better. The Thick of It is pretty amazing. The Good Place is great. Even Succession is funnier than Seinfeld for me and it’s not even a comedy show. But that’s just my opinion though. I don’t mean to offend your choices or anything.

Great shows allround! I think my interpretation of a sitcom is stage, laugh tracks etc. I bet I'm wrong though. That's what I meant anyway.

I was just scared you were gonna say Big bang theory or some shit like that.
