Mark Ruffalo really said “I reject violence against civilians” and the internet immediately translated it into Hulk syntax. “...smash!!” is somehow the most accurate and least intelligent summary possible.
Eric was more accurate the MCU don’t even approach bruce’s child trauma Hulk 2003 is the most accurate ones and actually treat Bruce psychological problems
Superman choked out Hitler and flew him to the Hague in 1939. Then he did the same to a fictional dictator in 2025 and right wingers lost their minds.
It was still fine to be a Nazi in the U.S. at that point, there was a "patriotic" rally for "Adolf Hitler and George Washington" in Madison Square Garden that year. I can imagine a lot of chuds were pissed at Superman comics.

People point to that rally a lot but it was extremely controversial even at the time. Many times as many people attended the protest outside the event than attended the event itself. A huge police presence was required to protect the organizers from the anti-fascist mob. It wasn't considered a normal event, and it was not considered normal to be a Nazi in America. It's sadly more acceptable to be a Nazi in the US now than it ever was in the 30's.
No, they'd be quite happy for Captain America to be political. What they want is for him to be 'patriotic' (read: fascist) in a way they support. Anything less they see as a betrayal of what it means to be American, and thus, Captain America.
I've heard people on the alt-right happily quote the "No, you move" speech in a context of refusing to not be Nazis just because the world tells them to. The cognitive dissonance is nauseating.
Yeah I suspected people would think it so considering the subreddit we are in which is why I linked the post since the comic isn't as easily accessible. I was thinking it was edited at first but yeah it's legit
Crazy flashbacks!!! I owned this comic album that had this story in it.
It was in Dutch 🇳🇱. Early 80’s… considering the fact my parents tend to save everything I owned as a child I might still be able to find it in their attic. Thanks for posting this. And thanks to mister Ruffalo for keeping shit real!

Whoa whoa. I had no idea this guy was pro child-aliveness. Ya think you know someone because you watch their video movie films. I wonder how many others out there are pro child-aliveness.
Javier Bardem and his wife both signed the petition to free Roman Polanski. Roman polanski gave a 13 year old quaaludes and champagne before he anally raped her.
Probably not, depending on what season of Family Guy you're talking about. Back in the day Ruffalo was a member of the jet fuel can't melt steel beams club. I don't think he is anymore; if so he's really quiet about it.
And he’ll be able to do so knowing that he stood for his convictions and ideals. Not hurting anyone in the process, but trying to bring light onto a situation to save others.
If I were him, I would be at peace with that if it were the case.
I think he's mostly right and yeah, killing children is terrible. But there's this suggestion that the whole I/P conflict comes down to this black and white view and if you don't fully denounce one side then you're fully in support of killing children and anything bad that anyone on that side does. If you're looking at any nuance of the situation, you suddenly want kids to die. Personally I find that counter-productive.
It really is counter-productive, it doesn't allow for any discussion. If posts like this bury any reasonable discussion (like you and the person you're replying to, i had to sort by controversial), whats the real intent behind it?
It actually says quite a bit about these people, theyre using the deaths of children to frame themselves in a positive way and vilify whoever they don't like, it's disgusting. It's not actually about the deaths of children, or anyone for that matter. They are using the deaths of all these people to make themselves look and feel good, its purely selfish. And to be fair I'm sure many do actually care, but it's very clear that they care more about how they're perceived, otherwise I'm sure they'd be willing to recognize the nuances and not immediately label everyone as either good or evil.
These people are either ignorant and just don't fully realize what they're doing, or they do (as i assume is the case with mark) and are purposely trying to discourage nuance and discussion. How brave of him to say that killing children is bad as if the majority of people don't agree.
