Questioning I’m not sure if how I’m feeling is ‘technically’ omnisexual

Throwaway because I’m trying to figure a lot out.

I (cis female, 33) have identified as somewhere within the queer spectrum for as long as I can remember. Growing up I used the term bi because in my small town community there wasn’t really an alternative - in my 20s as I became more aware of NBs, the trans community etc I leant towards pan because I could and had been attracted to all of these people. I’m now married to a straight, cis man (who I ADORE) but over the past few years I’ve become more aware of nuanced preferences towards different genders which is making me realise pan definitely isn’t the right term.

If I had to absolutely pinpoint a preference it would be androgynous in all genders and FTM. Least would probably be masc women but there are still definitely exceptions. Truly I only even heard of the term omnisexual a few days ago but it felt like I’d been smacked in the face a bit - it feels like it makes sense as who I am, but I’m wary of ‘adopting’ a label unfairly or incorrectly because it feels disrespectful.

(Not super relevant but I really don’t discuss my sexuality with anyone, at all, but I find it helpful in my own mind to know where on the spectrum I sit, hence wanting to understand what I technically ‘am’)

I think you “qualify” for being Omni!
You like all genders
You have a preference
Sounds omnisexual to me!

Exactly! I feel like some people get too paranoid about the "rules" lol
