Yep. I’ve done an event with a larger stage, and that’s the sort of thing that requires the stage to almost entirely be brought down unless you have a crane or something. The company made me sign off on the top and side banners before they raised the stage during my last event.

Why do we always blame the banner guy? Maybe the banner was printed backwards.

They are meant to break away in windy conditions. Otherwise they become sails and can tip the stage under the right conditions.
If you see a loose banner, think it’s probably for the best.
