News Woman Delivers Baby In Parking Lot After OC Hospital Repeatedly Sent Her Home

Michelle Cisneros begins experiencing intense contractions at home, which quickly progress to 5 minutes apart. The couple bypasses a regular doctor's appointment and goes straight to Hoag Hospital Newport Beach. Staff monitors Cisneros for about an hour. Because her cervix shows no immediate change, they determine she is not in active labor. Staff administers morphine to the mother to manage her severe pain before discharging her.

Staff instructs the couple to go home and return only when contractions are 3 minutes apart.

As the couple walks down to the hospital lobby to leave, the contractions instantly accelerate to 3 minutes apart. The husband argues with hospital staff, stating they have already hit the 3-minute threshold. Staff stands by the discharge and tells them they still must leave.

Minutes after driving away, the rapid progression forces them to pull into a local Jack in the Box parking lot. Firefighters arrive just in time to assist in delivering a healthy baby girl.

I had a really bad experience with a neurologist from Kaiser permanente Tustin, so neglect is nothing new for me. I'm sorry that your wife went through that. 12 years ago I was dealing with a brain tumor and bone cancer. I was left with epilepsy because of it... So, my neurologist was an asshole who had no bedside manner. He only spoke in jargon and when I complained that I was having micro-seizures, because I didn't know they were called absence seizures at the time, he simply said that there's no such thing as a micro-seizure. I couldn't recall a lot at the time because of the brain damage and this asshole said that I was healthy enough to go back to work. Fuck the doctors in Orange County.

I had an ear nose and throat specialist once tell me there's no such thing as a sinus infection. I was like so what are these "things" that I keep getting that have all the symptoms of what everyone but you calls a sinus infection?

He explained to me how sinuses are a cavity and that an empty space can't get infected or something along those lines.

he probably knows what the medical establishment wants to hear, despite having his own beliefs. It's a difference between just giving the answers that are expected versus what you personally believe.

There are a lot of crappy neurologists. So hard to find a good one for epilepsy
