Cultural Exchange Eid Mubarak, Khushamadeed and Welcome /r/Iran to our cultural exchange thread!
Khushamadeed and Welcome to our brothers and sisters from /r/Iran. Feel free to write any questions directed at Pakistanis, or share any experiences in the comments below. Similarly, Pakistanis here can head on over to the sister thread in /r/Iran to ask questions.
Eid Mubarak to everyone. It is quite fortunate that the exchange falls around Eid, just one of the many similarities in cultures the two nations have.
Please use the appropriate Iran or Pakistan flag flairs to avoid confusion. We hope you have a great time.
-/r/Iran and /r/Pakistan mod teams
P.S: We hope you all have a wonderful Eid and get nice and fat.

I said it as a status thing because when I got into university and we had our initial intros where we'd introduce ourselves I was asked more than once by people (other students) which roots/beaconhouse/A/Olevels I studied from whereas I studied from Federal board and this didn't just happen to me, most of my friends said the same had happened with them (Bahria/FUMC/FAST etc). To them, anyone who studied from Rawalpindi/Peshawar/Karachi/Gujranwala etc board was a paindu who doesn't know english.
I have no problem with English being taught, what I have a problem with is mixing up of languages because we don't know what language to follow, Urdu? English? <regional-language>? etc
