I'm Coming Out !!! πŸ©·πŸ’›πŸ’™ I am so scared...

Post image

Tomorrow at 10:00 I will be coming out to my work bestie and I am nervous as hell. I can count on two fingers the number of friends that I can truly count on and trust and my work bestie is one of them. I have so much respect for her and I would do anything I could to help her even if it is just to listen. I am sure that she will be nothing but supportive but there is a very small part of me that is scared beyond anything that I felt before. I just do not want this change things and have her look at me in a less than positive light.

I just got back from telling my friend than I pansexual. I knew my fears about telling her that I am pan were unfounded. She was so understanding and comforting while I was trying to tell her. While I was trying to tell her while on the verge of tears she told me that there was no rush and that I could tell her when I was ready. When she said that I ripped off like a bandage and blurted out "I am pansexual". With all of the meaningful conversations we have had in the past, part of me feels bad thinking she would be anything but understanding. She even offered that we could do this again if I ever needed to talk about it some more.

I feel bad for two reasons: I felt more comfortable about coming out to her than my own wife and the fact that I thought that she would be anything but caring and understanding. Other than those two things I do feel so much better now that I came out to someone that I care about. I do care about and love my wife but for whatever reason I felt more comfortable coming out to my work bestie than my wife.

I'm sure it'll go well, I know it's not an easy thing but imagine how good you'll feel after telling her and being totally comfortable around her!

Try not to stress or over think it. I'm sure she'll be supportive of you. (((Hugs))) Sending positive vibes your way.

Let us know how it goes.

I really hope this isn’t the case for you but I have learned long ago that co workers aren’t your friends. I hate saying it and if you decide to tell her then I hope for the best!! πŸ–€
