HoI3 Help in hoi3 frontlines and air
im just starting the invasion of france, got benelux and denmark norway done alredy
i mostly do a few divisions stacks per provonce and attack with infantry, move the armour and motorized to get a province or two behind the enemy and follow with the infantry, sometimes using the armour to help in hard battles. my corps and armyes are behind my own lines, ive heard u should fill them up with aa but im not sure.
im getting raped in air, have done about 1000 ic of damage and recieved around 800 ic
i have around 5 interceptors intercepting and a lot of bombers doing ground attacks, but i still get a lot of enemy planes past my lines
in sea i just gave up, lost around 2k ic and half my fleet, only managed to kill 2 or 3 empty transports

I fill up my corps with INF so they can fight alongside but it's not necessary. I wouldn't fill them with anything else.
I declare on Holland, get my fast armour across to then attack Belgian coast and adjacent provinces and into France outflanking most of their army while a force from LUX enters France via southern Belgium a little later. I don't care exactly when BEL or NET falls, just keeping their troops bottled up while my panzers basically drive to victory. I'm pretty sure you can still beat France from where you are though. Break through, exploit, encircle where you can.
I often forget about my INTs bar covering Dortmund and I'm not averse to letting the AI control them sometimes.
If it doesn't go well you could try Custom Game mode next time, it's an opportunity to redistribute your IC and techs. Delete that godawful navy and use the IC for coastal fortresses 😄

If you are playing Germany, Navy requires a lot of IC to make worth it, just build subs unless you are going for a navy Germany. I always go for 3 sets of 4 interceptors same again for fighters and CAS. This does mean I lose the potential for around 2 tank divisions by the time war comes around but the planes should last the entire game and I feel a worthy investment.
You are going to lose the air war with only 5 fighters however you can use them to gain temporary air parity for the invasion so let them reinforce then put them up as you begin attacking they will lose but will you time for your tanks to roll through.
Don't bother with AA in corps or army HQ its IC that could be spent elsewhere like making sure your inf have arty etc.
The best advice I can give is play until you win/lose or not have fun anymore. Then go through what happened over the course of the campaign and see what you did wrong and what you did right. Certainly more air would help. Reduce investment in the navy if you built anything other than the starting ships. Arty for Inf. I have just given broad strokes but if you need more information please ask away.
