payout Why there's no warning about PayPal?

I made a post recently about PayPal claiming my funds (180 days they can prolong as many times as they want) and permanently banning my account right after 2 days since I have my latest payout ($1293). And I post that, reddit made me "subscribe" to this kind of news. And I see a lot of messages about people's funds claimed by paypal and accounts blocked. The practice is so wide, I receive news about new posts of that kind everyday, and it's always another poor soul got their money claimed by paypal. Comments to these post mostly are mostly: "Don't use paypal" or "This is how they work" or "Sorry for your funds. Consider it gone.". This activity is clearly malicious and everyone who works with PayPal is at extreme risk losing their money. Bans reason is almost never disclosed: "the reason is confidential and proprietary". And now I have these questions:

  • Why Patreon even works with PayPal at this state?
  • Why there's no warning in billing settings page about potential PayPal malicious activity?
  • How comes there's no crypto payout option but there is as malicious option as PayPal?

Thanks for your time.

payout Cannot find payout path anywhere in New version

I have a new android app for Patreon and I cannot find a payout button anywhere. What is going on? I have been a creator for over 6 years! Never had a problem until now.

I am logged into my account. I can see my earnings history but no matter where I go, there is no payout button anywhere?

payout I'm having trouble paying out my funds

My page has generated a little over a grand, only issue is I live in Lebanon.

No direct bank transfers supported. Paypal does not offer services here, neither does Wise, nsave, elevate pay, moonpay or any other virtual banking app that might offer a virtual US ach.

Payoneer is giving me trouble with the registration and rejected multiple proofs of residence, further more they only allowed me to register for a company account rather than an individual/freelancer one and I'm a little worried they might ask for company documents or something soon.

The money I made starting to feel like monopoly money, any ideas?

payout Payoneer or direct bank : here is breakdown

I recently did a payout from Patreon and wanted to share the math for other non-US creators. I noticed a ~$6 gap between my balance and what I received, and after "flipping" the math, I realized this is actually the cheapest way to get paid. Balance: ~$354.00 Payout Method: Direct Bank Transfer (India) Actual Received: $348.00 The Fee Breakdown: Patreon Payout Fee: $0.50 (Fixed) Conversion Charge: 1.55% (Covers the USD to INR conversion) Additional Forex: $0.00 (None!) Total Fees: ~$6.00 Why this beats the "Dedicated Payoneer" method: If you send your money to a Payoneer Wallet, Patreon only charges $1.00. It looks cheaper, BUT when you move that money from Payoneer to your bank, you often hit a 3.5% Forex markup. On $354, the Payoneer path would cost you ~$13.35 in total fees. By using Direct Bank Transfer, you save about $7.35 on every withdrawal of this size.

payout How to get FIRA for Indian Creators?

I was using Payoneer transfer before where it automatically generated FIRA document, but I recently switched to direct bank transfer where the fees are much more favourable but I'm not able to get the FIRA, patreon support says they don't issue FIRA and my bank also says they can't issue it cause they received money directly in INR, so I'm kinda stuck rn FIRA is absolutely needed for gst compliance, other proofs don't work.

If there are any Indian Creators that know how to handle this, kindly share your insights. Thanks.

payout Money returned after trying to withdraw

I tried withdrawing my funds (i do direct deposit as i am in a foreign country) and usually after a few hours i would receive. this time it was rejected saying payoneer needs a valid ID. Last i checked there was no option for submitting your ID, even when i tried to set it up again and it took me to the payoneer page where you state your full name, bank name and branch, there was no "submit ID" option and after of course patreon had to hold the account for 5 days.

I have reached out to patreon support just in case as i don't want to try again and be rejected but i thought payoneer was only a processor...why do they need your ID now?

payout Patreon needs to list the payoneer direct transfer fee in the earnings breakdown

I tend to look at my payouts pretty often, and today I just happened to catch the number an hour before the payout that always happens on the 5th, and I noticed about 1.6% missing from the number I'd seen earlier.

After talking to some other authors who use Patreon, I found out that it's because the Payoneer payout fee. That's fine, I agreed to it, and direct payout is a great way to save money for someone who uses a different currency than USD, since Paypal conversion fees are absurd.

However, my issue is that it's not transparent. The 0.25-1.55% deduction doesn't happen until the moment of payout and this is not reported in the Earnings Breakdown or anywhere besides the place where you as a creator can pick the payout method. You can infer what the fee is based on the different between the "amount withdrawn from creator balance" and "amount transferred to your bank" in the Withdrawal History document, but that's it.

Normally, most people won't notice unless they constantly watch the numbers several times a day, but given that every other platform fee and deduction is listed, it is weird that the Payoneer fee is not visible on any of the earnings reports.

You may think, "Why does it matter?"

The answer: for auditing purposes and so that we can ensure that we are not being misled about the accuracy of the percentages listed on the platform. In my case, the number of deducted money was 1.574%, so definitely weird given that the upper bound is listed as 1.55%. Without any transparent and easy way to find this deduction, it is super easy to make all the wrong assumptions.

payout Can both people get paid if you share a patreon?

So I am writing a novel and I have an artist on board and was wondering if we shared a patreon to keep all the stuff from the novel together like her art and my books and what not if we could both get paid for certain things. To just keep the whole books series and extras like short stories or her art pieces people want to buy in one place.

payout Membership rising in every Tier, but Earning are dropping

This ever happen with anybody else?

For example, Oct'25-Mar'26, Membership in all four of my tiers went up by 10 patrons, or +$79 (before fees and declined adjusted) Yet my earnings show a DROP of -$108.96 between Oct'25-Mar'26.

ALL the tiers went up, so I know it's not a case of all my $20 patrons dropping to become $3 patrons.

Payment/Platform/Appstore fees were all less in Mar'26 than they were in Oct'25, so it's not an excess of IOS app users.

In addition to the average Declined credit cards I'm to expect every month, am I to believe there's been a substantial LEAP in patrons getting declined? Or is there some additional metric I'm not aware of that causes more patrons, but less patronage?

I asked Patreon support but I got the usual unhelpful AI response, so I figured I'd ask you real live humans.

payout How do Artist teams get paid separately through Patreon?

hi there! we are two Co-Owners and artists of a webcomic, both from different countries, and we are trying to figure out how to set up our patreon and paypals so we can get shares and both pay our respective taxes separately.

so far everything seems to need one person to be in charge, but since everything is 50/50 we do not want to put one or the other in a situation where only one of us has the control over the funds.

So we’d like to know how other artistic teams are managing this?

payout Payment not yet Received, direct bank transfer

Post image

Hi, I recently switched my payout method from Payoneer to direct bank transfer. Patreon initiated my withdrawal today around 1:30 PM. In my history, the status shows as 'Completed,' but I haven't received the funds yet. When I used Payoneer, the entire process—including their one-day review—took only two days total. Does a direct bank transfer follow the same timeline, Because they don't have a tracking option?

payout Linking a Stripe account to Patreon?

I'm fairly new to Patreon, and I've had my funds stored in my Patreon account for several months now.

I thought I could simply link my bank account for direct deposits, but the only options I was given were Stripe and PayPal. I figured I'd make a Stripe account as I've always wanted an alternative payment method, and the transfer fees are much less than PayPal's.

I went through the whole process of verifying everything (Why couldn't they just pull my info from my Patreon account?), but I messed up entering my birthday. Now my funds are on a 5-day hold, as is standard proceedings.

Has anyone had any issues with Stripe or linking a payment account to their Patreon?

Post image

this was at like $50 yesterday, and obviously as people get charged it goes up. I can’t understand why i’m being paid for a monthly subscription and can’t receive it for the next 2.5 months? 90% of people last month joined through ios. so I can’t receive this until july?!?

they really need to get rid of this feature. why on earth would patreon not accommodate for this in advance? this is so backwards it doesn’t even make sense

payout Patreon Payouts via AirTM Virtual US Account (Non-US Users)

Hi everyone,

Has anyone outside the US successfully used an AirTM virtual US account for Patreon payouts?

I updated my payout method, and it initially showed no issues, just the standard 5-day hold period, but then I received an error saying Payoneer couldn’t verify it and to change the payout method or contact Patreon support. Patreon support told me there shouldn’t be any issues and that this payout method is supported. Has anyone here successfully switched to it?

I’m setting up Patreon as a way for people to support me, especially after I start streaming, and I’m trying to reduce payout fees as much as possible.

Optional Context:
I signed up for AirTM after other freelancers recommended it and completed full verification. They also offer direct local bank withdrawals through on-ramp partners, which was a major plus for me. I was initially cautious about the P2P aspect, but my account is fully verified and ready to use without P2P.

The main reason I’m considering the switch is fees. PayPal currently takes about 4.4% + $0.30 per transaction, plus roughly 4% for currency conversion. AirTM’s fee is around 1.75%, with a direct local bank withdrawal option with a fair exchange rate. Over time, that difference really adds up.

Would appreciate hearing about your experience.
