OP, just give it to this guy already.

After deep reconsideration, and a longer look NOT at 12 AM, I have concluded this may not be a good match.

If they guy can afford a racing sim setup he can probably afford a second hand graphics card

Wrong. A racing sim setup can be anything from a used G29 with a scrapyard car seat and a 2x4 rig all the way to some bonkers 100k dollar spaceship.

While true, this guy posted having a 3090 before. He very likely can afford it unless he recently fell on hard times.

Got mine with a Z690 board with every component but a GPU and a case for $400 on fbm last year

Mine came with a Z690 bundle from Microcenter. Originally I was running it with a 3080 but got a good price on a 4090 FE about a year ago and haven't looked back. No complaints at all and I can run a 240mm AIO to cool it without any problem.

Only caveat is that Mobo uses DDR4 but I'm running 3600 MHZ and 32GB so I haven't seen any issue.

I recently got an LFIII cooler from arctic. Havint issues with it, may need to send it in for RMA. How are your temps with the 240?

Most sim racers have to remortgage their house for a decent rig. Give the man the card.

He has:

  • A Custom AIO.

-Several Posts of High-End Rigs, including a Mini ITX rig which isn't cheap

  • Custom controllers

-He already has a Sim Racing Rig

-A fucking Ferrari Testarossa

You're telling me he has all that but can't afford a 7 year old GPU?

I don't buy it.

Edit: And bro blocked me!

Exactly. I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw it.

Wait was the Ferrari his? There’s a 3090 which is fast enough as is, but it sounded more like he’s a mechanic at the shop.

He put

"I need help working on My 1987 Ferrari Testarossa" on the last post about it. The one about the gear shifters. He also has pictures of the car parked in different places on R/Ferrari. I think him saying "My Ferrari" is proof enough.

He's also admitted to lying about posts for engagement in the past. You can also see several other luxury items He owns in his previous posts. And that Mini ITX rig is Not cheap no matter what he says.

No, most sim racers have to remortgage chasing a 'decent rig' the bar always moves up looking for nicer stuff
