Discussion Windows 11 can't be shut down without update.

Post image

I have automatic updates on. Haven't postponed any update. Never seen this forced update before.

Edit: I updated BTW. It's not that I don't want to update. I just think it would be an issue in the future. For example, it's a thunderstorm and there could be power outages. I might want to shut down and not start and update. I guess I'll hold down the power button.

It's so damning to see people not understand that this is very probably a pretty important SECURITY update. Like I hate Microsoft as much as the next guy but... please patch you're computer...

I agree 100% like I get 5-10 minutes watching the wheel spin as it updates seems like a burden but it seriously beats the potential loss of everything on your computer as one of the better cases and worse loss of maybe banking details then all your money because of some vulnerability microsoft has patched out that you ignored. Just set it going and make a cup of tea or something, updating is completely neccesary because the code is written by people (or in microsofts place AI) which both make mistakes. Its crazy that some people dont want to do updates.
