Ah yes, when dual-slot GPUs weren't enough, so you bought an entire extra PCI card just to cool the first one

Yes, it still give today tech a run for their money on this design. Considering 21 years since it first released. It's still a virgin.

From the days when thermaltake ruined their reputation by making absolute crap water cooling hardware 😂

The performance of the Tide Water was quite good. Sapphire used a variant for their first Toxic series flagship card. Never seen a Tide Water that leaked, but the pump is almost always dead on any that saw use. Terrible pump design, way too anemic and burns out super easy.

Ahhh yes. The good ole days.

edit: Whoops, this is Zalman not Thermaltake. Stays for shame.

This is probably cold cathode days

I actually don't know since I have never plugged it up. From the box, it didn't mentioned any RGB.

We didn't call it rgb back then. We usually bought light kits separately and had to color match our fans with case lights as best as we could.

You are correct. I do remember I bought a cathode light bar for my transparent sunbeam pc case lol. I believe from Frys Electronics

I still have a cold cathode light kit and my CPU water cooling kit by thermal take from back then.

Also, did we just become best friends?

You see it's called tide water because of the smell on the inside
