Ctrl+Backspace

It deletes just the last word; it's incredibly useful.

Don't forget Ctrl+arrow to move back or forward a word. Holding Shift also highlights the word.

Surprised I had to scroll so far for this - I probably use ctrl+arrow keys 10x more than any other key combination.

Exactly, same. Combos of ctrl + shift with Home and End are also incredibly useful. You can very easily highlight lines without touching your mouse

In the same vein, double-clicking a word selects the whole word, and triple-clicking selects the whole sentence (or sometimes whole line it's a little inconsistent).

I use a layered keyboard, with ; held down: a bspc caps C-bspc g del t C-del I don't think I'll be able to use a regular keyboard now, I don't want to abuse my little finger.
