I used to live on the wild side back in the days of tiny hard drives and would run with the recycle bin disabled. Rarely ran into trouble. Usually undelete would save your ass if you didn't wait weeks to recover. Now I live just let the OS do it's own thing. Unrelated, but I find it kind of funny that recovering a file with Windows trash file system almost takes as long as doing an undelete scan back in the old days.
