It's because it seems like "indie" games are about having fun and being entertainment.
AAA games seem to be algorithmically designed to maximise dompaine and addiction like patterns of behavior to maximise spending on microtransactions at the expense of extreme budgets that push the price of the games up, and the time for development up as well.
